Architype is recruiting: Finance Manager

We are looking for a Finance Manager to join our Finance Team.

The ideal candidate will have good all-round experience in financial processes and delivering month end reporting. We are also keen to develop our financial processes to meet the growing requirements of the business.

You will oversee the work of the Finance Coordinator and report to the Head of Finance.

Location

The successful candidate will be attached to one of our three studios (Hereford, London, Edinburgh) but will work with the Finance Team members who are currently based in London. This role would suit hybrid working.

Job type:

Permanent, part time: 22.5 hours per week (Monday – Friday)

Benefits

A competitive salary which is aligned to the industry standards. This is currently in the following range:Hereford/National base rate: £32,000 – £40,000 (FTE)London/Southeast weighting included: £35,000 – £43,000. (FTE)Edinburgh/the Lothians/Fife enhanced weighting included: £33,500 – £41,500 (FTE)33 days (FTE) holiday (inclusive of bank holidays)22.5-hour week – flexible/hybrid working possiblePension benefits of 3% employer contribution and access to a company health scheme and cycle to work scheme.This post will be offered as a permanent contract, subject to a 6-month probation review.

Job Description for Finance Manager

Core purpose.

The core purpose of a Finance Manager is to:

To deliver accurate and timely month end reporting and assist with financial planning and analysis.Manage of the day-to-day financial needs of the businessManage and administration of the payrollDevelop and maintain strong financial processes and internal controls.

Key responsibilities

Preparation of monthly management accounts for the practice.Manage the budget and forecasting process and report monthly department spend.Ensure day-to-day finance tasks are completed as necessary to ensure deadlines are met.Ensure the cashflow is managed efficiently and oversee payment runs and credit control.Manage the payroll including preparation monthly payroll adjustments, manage pension administration and address payroll queries.Ensure project reporting is up to date and drive improvement processes.Supervise and support the Finance Coordinator.Implement and monitor strong internal control procedures and drive cost efficiencies across the business.Liaise with the company’s accountants and assist with the preparation of year end accounts.

The above-mentioned tasks are a summary of the key responsibilities involved; however, the post holder may be asked to carry out other tasks as directed by the Head of Finance.
