Regeneration arm to deliver housing maintenance, retrofit and fire remediation works
Durkan Group has launched a dedicated housing maintenance and retrofit business, Durkan Regen, to respond to growing market demand.
Housing maintenance veteran Dan Germann is heading up the new business as managing director after 30 years working in the sector.
He has previously held senior roles at Keepmoat Regeneration, Apollo Group, Engie and most recently Equans UK, where he was responsible for leading a £350m business.
Durkan Regen will provide a one-stop shop for services including asset regeneration, planned maintenance, compliance services including damp and mould, fire remediation, general repairs, as well as retrofit, decarbonisation, and cladding remediation.
Germann said: “Moving into 2025 and beyond, we’re committed to further growing our regeneration portfolio in conjunction with our clients, using our experience in the housing industry to help local authorities and housing associations create better homes and communities for people, regenerate housing stock to ensure homes are decent and safe, and to help meet their net zero targets.
“Durkan Regen gives us the structure and platform we need to deliver and to grow.”
Alongside Durkan Regen, Durkan Group will continue to grow and expand its house building business, Durkan Homes, that was successfully launched to market in 2019.
