British Museum seeks 3D modelling consultant
As part of the renewal of its four-year construction consultancy services framework, the British Museum is seeking a consultant with surveying expertise, including 3D modelling, Construction Management reports.
There are another six slots on the framework.
Cultural heritage specialist Mortice Consulting is supporting the framework’s procurement. The deadline for tender submissions is 24 March.
Autodesk supports the Information Management Initiative
Autodesk, a longstanding patron of nima, has become a founding sponsor of the Information Management Initiative (IMI). Autodesk joins the sponsors announced at the IMI’s launch, including the likes of the BSI, AtkinsRéalis and Morta.
The IMI now benefits from a logo.
Graphisoft for solo practitioners
Graphisoft has launched Archicad Studio, a subscription plan tailored to solo practitioners working independently or with local teams.
The Archicad Studio subscription plan includes:
- Archicad desktop application on macOS and Windows;
- Local Teamwork with BIMcloud Basic – cloud-based features are available with a paid BIMcloud subscription;
- Graphisoft’s cloud-based AI Visualiser;
- BIMx mobile app for iOS and Android;
- BIMx Pro features;
- Archicad extensions, like Python API, PARAM-O, Maxon Redshift, Library Part Maker, and additional Surface Catalogue; and
- Training, support and services.
Sterling DCS and D2 partner for data-led insights
Construction cost and carbon estimating software supplier Sterling DCS has agreed a strategic partnership with infrastructure project management consultancy D2.
“Integrating programme management excellence with cutting-edge cost and carbon technology is no longer a luxury – it’s a necessity,” said Peter Rogers, global infrastructure director at D2. “Our clients need to navigate increasingly stringent regulations, rising material costs, and ambitious sustainability targets. By working with Sterling DCS, we can provide data-led insights that allow projects to be delivered smarter, faster and more sustainably.”
