Sweco lands €21m Danish defence framework

The Danish Ministry of Defence Estate Agency (MDEA) has awarded Sweco a four-year construction consultancy framework worth around €21m.

It’s the first time the MDEA has signed on with a single advisor.

It sees Sweco providing consultancy for the construction, maintenance, and development of military properties in Denmark, the Faroe Islands, and Greenland.

That includes barracks, naval bases, air force stations, shooting ranges, and training grounds.

Sweco will also advise on environmental sustainability.

“We are delighted to contribute to this important societal task — to upgrade and further develop the physical framework for the Danish Ministry of Defence,” said Sweco’s president in Denmark, Dariush Rezai.
