Abu Dhabi policing sites to ensure they adhere to heat ban

Abu Dhabi City Municipality reiterated its call for construction companies, site managers and workers to strictly abide by a ban on working outside between the hours of 12:30 and 15:00pm.

The council has sent officials to visit construction sites to ensure workers are adhering to the rule.

The Environment, Health, and Safety Department can impose fines on companies whose employees are working during these hours.

The rule is enforced each year from 15 June to 15 September. The UAE says it is the only country to have laws that protect construction work in this way.
