Liebherr to build logistics site for the Americas in Mississippi

German-Swiss equipment maker Liebherr has acquired 48ha of land in Tupelo, Mississippi, and plans to use it for a distribution centre and company campus.

The aim is to stock and distribute parts for cranes, earthmovers and other machinery. These will be supplied to customers throughout the Americas. The site will also handle pre-assembly, repackaging and export services.

The $200m campus will bring together Liebherr’s business units and create a dedicated space for product research.
