Bidding starts for £1bn housing decarbonising framework

Social housing procurement specialist Prosper has started the bidding for its next-generation £1bn nationwide energy efficiency retrofit framework.

Around 15 firms will be fighting to retain their places on the framework renewal which is used by around a dozen social housing landlords, including Home Group, Thirteen and Gentoo Homes.

The multi-supplier framework will be used to provide energy efficiency retrofit measures in accordance with PAS 2035, and traditional investment and refurbishment works for domestic and public buildings.

The framework is being significantly enlarged with 9 regional lots for England and one for Wales. The aim is to appoint up to eight firms per region, with the five-year framework starting in January 2025.

It is designed to deliver works supported through the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Social Housing Decarbonisation fund and ECO4 works.

Interested firms must return applications by 11 October through the ProContract Portal or email Tim Jennitt at Prosper.
