Torrent Trackside has been appointed by Balfour Beatty’s Central Rail Systems Alliance (CRSA) framework for the provision of lighting and fencing.

The contract runs for two years and includes the provision of both managed service, dry hire lighting and associated fencing services on the framework.

The CRSA is an alliance between Network Rail, Balfour Beatty, Atkins Réalis and TSO and is responsible for the development, design and delivery of plain line, switch and crossing track renewals, as well as associated infrastructure works across the London North West and London North East Regions.

Jake Waterman, National Sales Manager, Torrent Trackside said: “This framework appointment builds on our established expertise in the rail sector where Vp Torrent Trackside have operated for over 30 years. We are excited to bring our latest environmental and sustainability credentials to this contract.”

David Thomas, Senior Procurement Manager – Rail, Balfour Beatty added: “Value for money and safety remain paramount for any award that we make. CRSA has a big schedule of essential work ahead of it and through frameworks like this we are able to bring the very best skills and product knowledge including the latest sustainable products that suppliers like Vp have access to.”
