Acheson Construction files administration notice

£53m turnover South West contractor lodges court notice  

Regional contractor Acheson Construction has filed a notice of intention to appoint an administrator.

The £53m turnover firm has been in business since 1974 working across the South and South West of England.

Acheson specialises in projects from £500k to £25m+ in many different sectors, including defence, public sector, education, health, leisure, commercial, industrial and residential.

Its website adds: “Our experience also covers a variety of construction forms that include new build, modern methods of construction, refurbishment and conversion. We also have extensive experience of a range of procurement methods including design and build, traditional, negotiated, client partnering, single and two stage tendering.”

Latest accounts for the year to December 29 2023 show a turnover of £53m generating a pre-tax profit of £46,000 with Acheson employing 88 people.
