The 2025 Robotics Summit & Expo is next week in Boston. If you’re attending the conference and your passion is mobile systems, then don’t miss the session “Nuts & Bolts of Robotic Navigation.”
The session will be on Wednesday, April 30, at 1:45 p.m. ET and features a panel that will will discuss the latest in perception and navigation issues around mobile systems, including automated guided vehicles (AGVs), autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), and autonomous vehicles (AVs).
We’ve assembled technical experts with practical coding and mobile robot deployment experience from across the industry:
- Sonali Deshpande, staff robotics software engineer at Relay Robotics
- William Sitch, chief business officer at Main Street Autonomy
- Garrett Place, business development manager of robotic perception technologies at ifm USA
- Andrea Okerholm Huttlin, senior staff software engineer at Collaborative Robotics
The goal of this session is to explore the essentials of robot navigation. Attendees can gain practical insights into sensing, best practices, SLAM (simultaneous localization and mapping), path planning, and obstacle avoidance for robust real-world applications.
It’s also a great opportunity to hear from your peers and learn about the challenges they’ve faced, and how they overcame it. Mike Oitzman, a senior editor at The Robot Report, will moderate the session.
We’ll save time at the end of the panel to answer audience questions.
Register now so you don’t miss out!
