Civils firm Akela appoints former Robertson director as MD

Scottish civils contractor Akela Construction has appointed former Robertson director Robert Ogg as Managing Director.

Ogg has over three decades of industry experience  including previous positions at Morgan Sindall as Managing Director of Scottish infrastructure works and Balfour Beatty, leading the delivery of key frameworks and projects.

His expertise in leading large-scale frameworks includes a key role in assisting the Scottish Government in the creation of the pan-Scotland Civil Engineering Framework.

Ogg said: “Akela Construction has established itself as a trusted partner of choice for civil engineering and groundworks solutions, making it an exciting time to join the team. With self-delivery being at the fore of everything that Akela do, I will continue to ensure that projects are completed to the highest standards of quality and efficiency for our clients.
