Egnyte launches Generative AI Copilot

Features of collaboration platform assistant include summarisation, knowledge base Q&A, and transcription

Egnyte, a collaboration platform for a range of industries including AEC, has launched Egnyte Copilot, an AI-driven assistant designed to accelerate and transform enterprise content collaboration.

Egnyte Copilot enables Egnyte customers to start engaging in AI-powered conversations with their own private and trusted data through a ‘simple, turnkey solution’ while keeping that data internally and externally secure. The AI can be used to speed up information retrieval, and help brainstorm ideas and create first drafts.

With Egnyte’s domain-specific AI, firms can use GenAI to summarize business and project documents, ask questions in natural language, automatically classify files based on type, such as ‘RFI’ or ‘submittal’, automatically label objects within jobsite photos, such as ‘roofing’ or ‘HVAC’.

“Egnyte Copilot is designed to overcome some of the most pertinent challenges to AI adoption today,” said Vineet Jain, co-founder and chief executive officer at Egnyte.

“Authentic responses built on company data, complete data privacy, and minimal user training requirements ensure that with Egnyte Copilot, our customers can hit the ground running in their AI journey.”

Egnyte also offers image file support, where AI can extract and describe specific information within an image file.

AI can also be used to summarise the contents of audio and video files, create transcripts, and surface key insights and citations.
