Job Description:
As an Electrician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the electrical systems in council properties are safe, functional, and up to code. You will be responsible for performing a range of electrical maintenance tasks, including reactive maintenance and repair work. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and excellent customer service skills, as you will be working directly with tenants in occupied properties and ensuring minimal disruption.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine inspections, testing, and servicing of electrical installations and systems.
Carry out reactive repairs and maintenance tasks, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard.
Respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests, diagnosing and repairing faults efficiently.
Work in both occupied and void properties, maintaining professionalism and respect for residents.
Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical regulations and safety standards.
Maintain accurate records of all work carried out, including job sheets and compliance certificates.
Communicate effectively with tenants, colleagues, and management to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements:
Proven experience as an Electrician, preferably in a residential domestic, maintenance setting.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, installations, and repairs.
Relevant qualifications, such as NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation, City & Guilds 18th Edition, or equivalent.
Valid ECS card.

Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Full UK driving licence.
