Foresight Autonomous Holdings Ltd. yesterday announced that it has integrated NVIDIA Jetson Orin computing platforms into its 3D perception technologies. The collaboration uses the Jetson Orin Nano and Jetson AGX Orin technologies to enhance the capabilities of Foresight’s systems across various industries.
In particular, the Ness Ziona, Israel-based company is focusing on uncrewed aerial vehicles (UAVs). This is a departure from Foresight’s past focus on autonomous vehicles and heavy machinery.
NVIDIA Jetson Orin provides Foresight’s vision systems with computing power tailored to the unique requirements of autonomous drones. NVIDA said Jetson Orin Nano is optimized for compact, lightweight UAVs, offering robust artificial intelligence performance and energy efficiency while minimizing weight and size.
These platforms reduce power consumption while maintaining high performance, making them suitable for drones in large-scale or remote applications, added Foresight. For higher-performance needs, the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin delivers up to 275 trillion operations per second (TOPS), enabling real-time data processing, advanced obstacle detection, and precise terrain mapping in complex and dynamic environments.
Foresight said the advanced AI and graphics processing unit (GPU) capabilities of NVIDIA’s Jetson enable it to deliver 3D perception systems “that set new benchmarks for performance, efficiency, and adaptability.”
Foresight bolsters 3D perception technology
Foresight’s 3D perception systems use both visible light and thermal long-wave infrared cameras. This provides environmental perception across diverse and challenging conditions, including low-light environments, heavy fog, and extreme weather scenarios, it said.
The technology can meet the demands for reliable and precise environmental understanding from applications such as search-and-rescue missions and agricultural monitoring, Foresight said.
Foresight Autonomous Holding has developed smart multi-spectral vision software and cellular-based applications. Through its wholly owned subsidiaries, Foresight Automotive Ltd., Foresight Changzhou Automotive Ltd. and Eye-Net Mobile Ltd., the company develops both “in line-of-sight” vision systems and “beyond line-of-sight” accident-prevention systems.
Foresight’s technologies also include automatic calibration modules and a dense three-dimensional point cloud that can be applied to different markets such as automotive, defense, autonomous vehicles, and heavy industrial equipment.

NVIDIA Jetson Orin accelerates AI performance
The NVIDIA Jetson Orin aims to provide embedded computing for generative AI, computer vision, and advanced robotics. The Jetson Orin family includes seven modules with identical architecture, offering up to 275 TOPS and eight times the performance of the previous generation for multimodal AI inference.
NVIDIA added that its software stack features pre-trained AI models, reference AI workflows, and a vertical application framework. It said they can accelerate end-to-end development for generative AI, as well as any edge AI and robotics applications.
Jetson Orin modules are powered by the same AI software and cloud-native workflows used across other NVIDIA platforms. The modules deliver the performance and power efficiency that end users need to build autonomous machines at the edge, while the Jetson Software stack lets users bring their products to market faster, NVIDIA said.
