Former ISG chief executive Matt Blowers has joined fit-out contractor Structure Tone London as Joint Managing Director.
Blowers left ISG in February after 26 years in the business.
It is understood he struck a deal with Structure Tone bosses in New York earlier this summer but was on gardening leave from ISG until the New Year.
That exclusion clause was invalidated with the collapse of ISG and Blowers now joins Structure Tone with immediate effect working closely with his fellow Joint Managing Director Justin Fahy who was a director at ISG from 2012 to 2020.
Fahy said: “It became clear from initial conversations in the early part of this year that Matt’s complementary skills could unlock new opportunities for our business. I am excited to see where this partnership will take us and welcome Matt warmly to Structure Tone.
“Matt’s appointment has been several months in the making as part of our ambitions to further develop our strong and resilient business.
“With Matt’s longstanding industry relationships and expertise, we will work with our team to drive Structure Tone forward, offering unwavering client delivery and industry excellence.”
Commenting on the ISG collapse Fahy said: “We are all aware that other companies are going through difficult times. Our thoughts are with the employees and supply chain partners who are impacted by these developments.”
Structure Tone currently has a team of 115 employees working on projects across the capital.
Fahy added: “Whilst today’s appointment brings exciting opportunities for the whole Structure Tone team, I want to assure our clients, partners and colleagues that in the meantime, it remains business as usual, and we remain steadfastly focused on delivering our current tenders, projects and initiatives.”
