Four win Network Rail £300m engineering design deal

Eastern region deal will include design for Northern Powerhouse Rail  

Network Rail’s Eastern region has picked the four groups of consultants it will use over the next eight years to deliver design engineering across the territory.

The winning line-up is: Amey OWR; AtkinsRéalis/Arcadis Consulting: Mott MacDonald/WSP; SYSTRA/Arup.

Its new £300m Development and Design Partnership Framework will be used to provide services and works for Northern Powerhouse Rail, the Integrated Rail Plan, Network North and the Eastern Region.

Selected firms will offer a range of services from professional development, design, technical, and services to deliver engineering stage 1 to 5

The initial term of the DDPF is five years with an option to extend the framework by yearly increments up to a further three years.
