M Squared buys EBS Construction in move to target £25m sales
Glasgow commercial landscape and groundworks specialist M Squared is targeting £25m turnover next year after buying Glasgow-based repairs and maintenance specialist EBS Construction.
EBS specialises in structural repairs, stone masonry and building restoration works across Scotland.
M Squared, which was founded 10 years ago and presently turns over £10m, invested more than a £1m in the deal.
The deal is part of a strategy by M Squared to grow its team to over 125 staff through organic growth and strategic acquisitions across a UK footprint.
M Squared’s founder and managing director, Kerr McEwan, said: “We’re delighted to confirm our investment into such a well-respected business with a highly skilled workforce.
“EBS has an impressive legacy in the repairs and maintenance sector in Scotland and we can’t wait to start working alongside David Sinclair and Brian Ticcioni to capitalise on the clear synergies between our two businesses.
“For M Squared, this investment represents an important development as we continue to build the in-house capabilities of our team ahead of a significant period of growth expected over the next 12 months.”
