Glider, a specialist in asset lifecycle information management, has acquired EDocuments, a provider of digital operation and maintenance (O&M) manuals for the construction industry.
According to Glider, the acquisition of EDocuments allows the company to provide more comprehensive support throughout every phase of the asset lifecycle, plus create a smoother, smarter digital handover process with better compliance and ultimately, better-managed buildings.
Glider plans to integrate the EDocuments platform into its gliderbim platform.
According to EDocuments, the operation and maintenance manual (O&M) defines the requirements and procedures for the effective operation, maintenance, decommissioning and demolition of the building.
It includes details of the building’s construction, history and maintenance, instructions for its operation and maintenance, and guarantees and warranties.
