igus, a global leader in motion plastics and innovative automation solutions, will exhibit at the Robotics Summit & Expo, scheduled for April 30 to May 1, 2025, at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center.

At Booth #221, attendees will experience live demonstrations of axis, the company’s newly launched online industrial community. Designed to become the premier collaborative hub focused on upskilling and informing the industrial sector, axis addresses specific needs of industrial marketers, educators, manufacturing workers, and automation and robotics professionals. The community facilitates meaningful connections, empowering members to collaboratively solve challenges and advance each other’s personal or professional goals.

“The axis Community represents igus’ continued commitment to supporting the industrial sector with innovative solutions,” stated Jacob Sanchez, axis Community manager at igus. “By providing a platform that emphasizes collaboration, creativity, and accessibility, igus seeks to redefine how industrial professionals engage, innovate, and succeed.”

igus will also showcase the ReBeL EduMove, an autonomous mobile robot based on open-source software. Equipped with a gripper and built for modular functionality, the ReBeL EduMove can easily incorporate additional technologies such as lidar sensors, camera systems, and SLAM algorithms.

Users program the ReBeL EduMove through igus Robot Control Software, facilitating rapid familiarization with mobile robotics applications. Furthermore, the inclusion of the CRI network interface with an extensive Python library and open-source ROS 2 interface ensures compatibility with advanced research environments and sophisticated development needs.

Attendees are encouraged to visit igus at Booth #221 to witness firsthand the latest innovations in industrial collaboration and educational robotics.

The Robotics Summit & Expo will bring together 5,000+ industry professionals to explore the latest advancements in motion control, AI, sensing, software development, humanoids, and more. The event features 200+ exhibitors, 50+ educational sessions, five keynotes, and hands-on demos, making it a must-attend gathering for those shaping the future of robotics. The Summit offers networking opportunities, a Career Fair, a robotics development challenge, the RBR50 Robotics Innovation Awards Gala, and more.
