McLaren is understood to be set to sign a contract to build what will be one of the biggest data centres in London.
The Enquirer understands McLaren has fought off competition from Sisk to land the deal for Ada Infrastructure in London’s Silvertown.
Ada – which is the data center platform of GLP Capital Partners – was awarded a resolution to grant planning from the Newham Strategic Development Committee last week.
The 210 MW Docklands data center campus is designed for emerging AI workloads and will eventually stretch across three buildings.
Industry sources said McLaren’s win on the first building is believed to be worth more than £500m.

The new development will significantly enhance the public spaces around the site, including improved pathways for pedestrians and cyclists along the Thames River.
