New study shows 5G connectivity could boost UK construction industry

Innovation powered by 5G mobile connectivity could help the UK construction industry improve safety and security, tackle workforce shortages and upskill the workforce, according to a new report from industry group Mobile UK. The report shows that almost three quarters (73%) of construction firms plan to deploy 5G technology within the next 12 months. However, a lack of adequate 5G network infrastructure is stopping the construction industry from exploiting the full benefits of 5G technology.
