Permasteelisa lands £25m curtain wall deal from Multiplex

Permasteelisa Group has been appointed by Multiplex to deliver the bespoke curtain wall of the new Holborn Viaduct building in the City of London.

The design phase is currently ongoing at Permasteelisa’s design centre in Italy, where the bespoke elements of the façade will also be assembled in its specialist manufacturing facility.

The installation phase for the 15,500 sq m façade is planned to start at the end of March next year, with scheduled completion expected after 12 months.

The new 13-storey office building is being developed by Royal London Asset Management Limited and designed by PLP Architecture.

Liam Cummins, Permasteelisa Group’s CEO, said: “Being chosen by Multiplex to deliver such a prominent project in the City, highlights our capability as a market leading façade specialist. We have delivered many projects in the capital over the years, and this will be a fantastic addition to our portfolio.”

John Conboye, Executive General Manager for Permasteelisa in the UK, added: “We’re looking forward to being part of this prestigious scheme and to delivering our work successfully, safely and on time for Multiplex following a very successful and highly collaborative pre-construction services agreement.”
