PfH seeks firms for £300m housing fire safety works

National procurement consortium Procurement for Housing is the latest body to seek to appoint a panel of contractors to deliver essential fire safety upgrade works.

The framework will be divided into seven lots with regions and value bands. A separate framework has recently been procured for fire safety consultancy services.

PfH Fire safety works framework

Lot 1: Active works  – total value £50m

(fire protection systems including but not limited to fire and smoke alarms, extinguishers, AOV’s, dry and wet risers and emergency lighting)

Lot 2: Passive works

(Fire-resistant rated compartmentation works, replacement fire doors to PAS 24 standards, wet/dry riser works, fire sealing and damping, signage and photoluminescent path markers)

Lot 3: Fire Doors – Contractor supply and install of doors – value £50m
Lot 4: Fire Doors-  Manufacturer supply and install – value £25m
Lot 5: Fire doors – Manufacturer supply only – value £25m
Lot 6: Cladding – value £25m

(Replacement ACM cladding panels with new fire-resistant cladding systems with compartmentation)

Lot 7: Whole Building Works – value £50m

PfH is expecting to award each l0t to five firms for three years with a possible further two-year extension.

Firms have until 12 September to submit applications which can be found on the web portal.
