The Nobu tower will reach 246m, over 76 storeys, making it the country’s second-tallest building
The Nobu tower may be developed by Salboy for Nobu Hospitality, a company founded by Nobu Matsuhisa, Meir Teper, and Robert De Niro.
The tower will be constructed in Deansgate.
The Nobu tower will offer housing and a hotel
Nobu is a company primarily dealing with food catering and owns 56 restaurants across the globe. The Nobu tower will hold another restaurant, along with a hotel with 160 rooms, and 452 Nobu-branded residences.
The residences will feature Japanese design details and premium amenities, such as Nobu dining and room services, a swimming pool, spa, a podium garden, and a gym.
Developer Salboy is currently said to be the developer through their in-house contractor Domis. If planning permission is granted, construction may begin this year.
The tower would cost £360m
The Nobu tower is currently being referred to as Viadux 2.
Simon Ismail, co-founder of Salboy, said: “This £360 million deal for Nobu Manchester will take the city to new heights in terms of service, cuisine, and experience.
