Skanska wins two US contracts worth $204m

Skanska has won three contracts in the US: a $155m data centre job in Arizona and a deconstruction and demolition project in Georgia worth $49m.

In Arizona, the comany has already begun work on a one-storey data centre measuring 244,000 sq ft. This is due to be completed in the second quarter of next year.

In Atlanta, Skanska will demolish and reconstruct a pre-stressed concrete canopy at the Five Points station for the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority. Five Points is a hub for bus and rail lines in the city.

Once the old canopy and plaza are removed, a mass-timber canopy with pedestrian entrances will be built.

Work is due to begin in July 2024 and be completed in 2026.
