Surface repair rivals offer lifeline to ex-Merlin staff

Rivals of collapsed hard surface repair specialist Merlin are joining forces to help staff and contractors hit by the firm’s demise.

Around 100 Merlin Repair Specialists staff are looking for new jobs while contractors have been left in limbo for repair and resurfacing work on sites.

Now fellow specialists Prymo and LS Surface Repairs are working together to offer former Merlin technicians work and step-in to help contractors left in the lurch.

Prymo managing director Jasen Jackiw – who originally founded Merlin back in 2008 – said: “We ask anyone affected, contractors or technicians, to contact us and we will do our utmost to help .

“We have resource available for works and plenty of work in the pipeline to bring on board more teams. We will however ensure growth is well planned, managed and done correctly.

“Wanting to do as much as possible I began looking for contractors who would be willing to work with us to help those affected and LS surface repairs jumped at the chance.

“Prymo and LS directors will be meeting next week to discuss an on-boarding strategy to help those affected bounce back.

“Prymo will look to assist across the midlands and north west while LS will focus on the south and south east.”
